Bodies, Rest and Motion Capture
This week’s release of Wii Fit from Nintendo will put a little more activity in motion-driven interactive media. But after your workout with your “Mii” avatar, you’ll want to relax. Well, with the next generation of gesture recognition, you might actually be able to draw yourself up a chair, literally. Check out this video from Sketch Furniture, which is also highlighted by interaction designer Dan Saffer on the preview blog for his upcoming book on gestural interfaces.
Of course, I’d probably sketch out a comfy sofa, a cold one and a Lakers game. New Media. It’s all about customization.
